The Shaw’s Festival Theatre is the flagship theatre. The rose-coloured brick and natural wood building was designed by the eminent Canadian architect Ron Thom and built in 1973. The adjoining Donald and Elaine Triggs Production Centre was designed by Peter Smith of Lett/Smith Architects, Ron Thom’s associate in 1973, and completed in 2004. The Production Centre echoes the Festival Theatre in its profile and is an architectural complement to the original building.
