The building which houses the Marshville Cabinet Maker’s Shop was built circa 1850.  The Overholt family history tells us that Mr. Overholt was an abolitionist connected to the underground railroad, and that he collected many escaped slaves when they made their way into Canada.  It was dismantled and reconstructed in the village in 2001.
