Step back in time as you experience 19th Century life on the Niagara Frontier.  The Museum’s beautiful 35-acre site includes twelve restored and authentically furnished 19th Century homes, churches, one-room schoolhouses, a barbershop and a working blacksmith shop.  Indoors are exhibits on local history, textiles, and decorative arts.  Children will enjoy exploring the replica packet boat in the Erie Canal Exhibit and the Interactive Pioneer Kitchen.  The Amherst Museum also hosts a variety of festivals, special events, and family activities throughout the year.
